A few days ago, I posted a little blog about a character in Chicago Down, Salbatora Guerrera. I received some cheap talk from a few wise a$$es about her being of Mexican heritage.
I find nothing wrong with that. I’ve known plenty of strong, intelligent ladies of Mexican descent born here and Mexico.
Well, as my novel’s storyline and characters unfold and develop, the location remains Chicago and the surrounding areas, but now takes place in the late 20s.
My heroine, Salbatora “Sal” Guerrera, is actually from Mexico. Hey, she wrote it, not me. She’s strong willed. And, it makes her past and why she’s in Chicago more interesting. She even teams up with Al Capone.
WHAT?
Thanks for reading.
