Snow lies everywhere today. The world is silent and elegant in its white cloak of fresh fallen snow. Not so long ago, the fields were green with new leaves and the first blossoms of the fruit trees colored the land with dainty paper-like ornaments. In a very short time, the trees hung heavily with fruit which we picked joyfully giving thanks to Mother Nature. Then the leaves turned orange, brown and red to finally fall on the ground leaving stark bare skeletons to dance in the wind.
Walking through these fields throughout the year, here in this northern province of Italy is a year-long joy. Each day has its own flavor and its own joy and is a font of reflection
the snow falls
even on New Year’s day
