REMEMBER THESE?… NO MATTER WHAT THEIR MANUFACTURERS LABELED THEM AS (I.E. KLICK-KLACK BALLS, CLACKER BALLS OR JUST PLAIN CLACKERS), WE OFTEN CALLED THEM CRACKER BALLS. THEY WERE HEAVY GLASS BALLS THAT YOU ENDED UP CRACKING YOURSELF ON THE WRISTS OR THE HEAD WITH. OUCH! AND THEY CAME IN HANDY AS BROTHER-BEATERS. 😉 HONESTLY, THEY WERE GREAT STRESS RELIEVERS AND I’VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT GETTING A PAIR FROM EBAY OR AMAZON TO HELP RELIEVE STRESS. I ALSO THOUGHT THEY MIGHT COME IN HANDY AS AN AID TO FOCUS ON MY WRITING…WHEN TOYING WITH IDEAS.
summer solstice
dancing under in star-light
druid’s changing time
ancient rites
blessings from the sun above
makes earth mature
fruits and grains
maturing marked from this day
summer solstice
days grow shorter
as we move now foreward
past sun’s zenith
bitter the taste
once the song is over
winter soon returns
Written for Carpe Diem Haiku Kai – Summer Solstice – the first haiku is dedicated to Oliana Kim from Traces of Soul who inspired it!
